Hello hello! It's been awhile since I've posted here on the blog, but there's no way I could not talk about the brunch I went to a few weeks ago. I saw a post on Facebook asking for a photographer in exchange for free brunch, and I being a camera-wielding brunch addict could not turn it down. Turns out I was signing myself up to photography the first event in the Boss Babes Brunch series created by NYU junior Cara Salvatore to promote female entrepreneurship and sisterhood among cool women in NYC. I am all about ladies supporting ladies and encourage and helping others so this was right up my alley.
Brunch was at
, a brunch spot that I've somehow never heard of despite living 15 minutes away from it. It's spacious, has a large fire pit which was much welcomed on this cold and bleh Saturday, and half of the restaurant is entirely covered in windows, giving an outdoor vibe without outdoor weather. The table setting was insta-worthy, the food was great (I had their chilaquiles and was instantly reminded of all the good tex-mex back home), and the company was wonderful. Taryn Garcia, the woman behind
spoke about how she reached her level of success, and also brought along some macarons to try.
Cara and her team are aiming to have another event at the end of August, and I'm hoping that I'll be able to attend that one as well. Sometimes good brunch and some lady friends is exactly what you need to recharge.
