This is what I ended up wearing on my seven hour flight from New York to London. I swapped out the bean boots again for my adidas sneakers so I could easily slip them off during security and on the plane. This outfit was actually the perfect thing to wear on my flight. I haven't taken a flight over three hours in about five years and this was my first international flight alone so I knew that I would have my mom there with me packing an extra jacket or pair of socks just in case.
I wore a tank top underneath for extra warmth, but this outfit kept me nice and cozy on my flight. The vest yet again proved helpful when dealing with my phone, passport, and boarding pass. The sweater kept me warm but wasn't too tight or constricting and my J.Crew pixie pants made it possible for me to stretch any which way while flying in economy.
At first I was sure about how I was gonna manage a seven hour flight, by myself, during the day. I left New York at 8:30am and landed in London at 8:30pm (we actually landed 40 minutes early, I think the pilot knows witchcraft) so it only made sense for me to stay wake the entire flight so I wouldn't have to deal with jet lag. With two movies, an episode of Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me!, and a few games of solitaire, I finally landed in London and made my way to my Aunt's house outside the city... but not before I went through the wrong exit and had to go through security again to go get my bags.
