I like Saturdays best
I saw a tweet asking whether people preferred cities or small towns, and my thought was cities because they can feel like both. There is no lack of energy living in Manhattan. The fast pace, constant noise and internal drive. This city is exciting. This city doesn't wait for anyone. It has its own agenda, one that often conflicts with everyone else's in the form of constant construction, MTA delays, or slow moving tourists. But this city knows how to take a break and slow all. the. way. down.

That One Time Paris Changed Everything
Going into this trip I was scared, mainly for two reasons. Either I would get there, realize that Paris has been over romanticized and over hyped and be immediately dissapointed, or I would come back with visions of eclairs and pain au chocolats dancing in my head, proclaiming that Paris was the city of my dreams and that I was destined to be a parisienne, immediately annoying anyone and everyone within 10 feet of me.

I hope you had tons of fun welcoming 2017 and most importantly kicking 2016 out the door. With January 1st comes plenty of resolutions and #newyearnewme mentality and while I agree that it's a noble thing to do, let's be honest and admit that most people don't follow through. While I won't be setting any big resolutions for this year because I know myself as a person, there are a few things I'm doing to kick off the new year.
